This is a wonderful time of year for vibrant colors. You can’t go very far without seeing a cherry or dogwood or magnaolia tree in full bloom. I took this photo with a micro lens that allows me to get very close to my subjects. I like the contrast in the photo — the contrast between the open blossom and the closed buds as well as the color contrast between the pink flowers and green leaves.
