At the end of January I was privileged to be a part of a Mexico familiarization trip hosted by the Mexico Tourism Board, Destination Management Services and Regina Tours. There was an overwhelming amount of beauty throughout Mexico, but as I walked through the streets of Mexico City, Puebla and Oaxaca, I continually encountered beautiful sets of doors. Doors in general seem to be overlooked. People either keep them open to invite visitors in, or are simply focused on where the doors lead and what awaits them on the other side. The doors of Mexico are as varied in size, shape and style as the culture of the country itself and, in my opinion, deserve to be appreciated. Thank you to those on the trip with me for being patient and allowing me to stop and photograph each and every one of these doors.
