‘The Passion’ showings slated at local parish

St. Mary’s Parish in Canandaigua will present two showings of the 2004 movie, “The Passion of the Christ,” on Monday, March 21. The Mel Gibson-directed film depicts Jesus’ final 12 hours and Crucifixion.

The movie will be shown free of charge at 9 a.m. and again at 5:45 p.m. in Dougherty Hall. Both showings will end in time for participants to attend the parish’s Lenten penance services, which will take place at 11:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. that day.

Dougherty Hall is located at 95 N. Main St. For more information, contact St. Mary’s at 585/394-1220.
