Theology on Tap set for Sept. 19 in Elmira

A monthly Theology on Tap program for young adults (ages 20 to 40) will be offered Wednesday, Sept. 19, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Horigan’s Tavern, 365 Davis St., Elmira.

The Rev. Dr. Nancy Lane, an Episcopal priest, spiritual director and psychologist engaged in a ministry of healing, will lead a discussion on “Spirituality and Healing: The Journey to God, Health, and Wholeness.”

Other scheduled Theology on Tap guest speakers are: Oct. 17, Alene Goodman, faith-formation director at All Saints Parish in Corning/Painted Post, “Prayer for Dummies: Learning New Ways to Pray;” and Nov. 28, Father Daniel Condon, chancellor of the Diocese of Rochester, “The Marks of the Church: One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic.”

Theology on Tap is a national program providing young adults, single and married, the opportunity to discuss their faith in a casual setting. It is cosponsored by the diocese and the Our Lady of Lourdes/St. Charles Borromeo/St. Casimir cluster. For details, contact Laurie or Sean Garner at 607/767-9010 or beachgal@stny.rr.com.
