A summer installment of Theology on Tap, a discussion series for Catholics in their 20s and 30s, will begin Aug. 1.
Each session in the series begins at 7 p.m. Sessions will be held at either the Elmwood Inn, 1256 Mount Hope Ave., Rochester, or Johnny’s Irish Pub, 1382 Culver Road, Rochester.
Dates, topics and series presenters are:
* Aug. 1, Elmwood Inn — “Language and Liturgy: The Words We Use to Pray to God: with Matt Jones, a diocesan seminarian.
* Aug. 7, Elmwood Inn: “Doing What You Love” with Peter Mottola, a diocesan seminarian.
* Aug. 16, Johnny’s Irish Pub: “The HHS Mandate and Religious Freedom” with Ruth Putnam Marchetti of Rochester’s Catholic Family Center.
* Aug. 22, Johnny’s Irish Pub: “A Catholic in the Voting Booth: Mixing Religion and Politics” with Father Robert Kennedy, pastor of Blessed Sacrament/St. Boniface parishes in Rochester.
