This is the recipe for Traditional Coquito (Puerto Rican-style eggnog):
Ingredients:
2 egg yolks (lightly beaten)
1 can evaporated milk
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 can Goya Crema de Coco (coconut cream)
1/2 water water
1/2 cup white rum
1/2 cup white rum
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
1. Using a double boiler, combine the egg yolks and evaporated milk over simmering water. The process will take about 20 minutes for the mixture to reach 160 degrees and be thick enough to coat a spoon.
2. In a blender, combine this mixture with the sweetened condensed milk, crema de coco, water, rum, cloves, cinnamon and vanilla. Mix until well blended.
3. Pour the coquito into glass bottles and refrigerate overnight.
4. To serve: Stir or shake the bottle well, pour the coquito into small serving glasses. Garnish with cinnamon or cinnamon sticks.
