To the editor:
I was very moved by Bishop Clark’s column “Rumors can be misleading” in the Nov. 13 weekly edition of the Courier. I sincerely hope that his attitude of compassion extends to any forthcoming official positions on homosexual priests and candidates for priesthood, and to attitudes in the diocese in general. I have greatly admired our bishop’s sense of justice in the past and do so even more now. We do indeed owe our ministers gratitude for their service so freely given even, in some cases, in the face of intolerance.
