The Diocesan Office of Liturgy, in conjunction with Nazareth College, 4245 East Ave., Pittsford, is offering an “Adult Vocal Encounter” to be held at the college July 25 to 29 from 6 to 9 p.m. each evening.
Patterned after the highly successful Vocal Camps of previous years, this year’s encounter will again offer cantor/soloists the opportunity to work on vocal technique in small group sessions with an experienced teacher. In addition, a new track for choir members and directors will explore vocal techniques within the context of choral singing, including warm-up exercises, vowel and consonant formation, blend and choral sound.
Adult Vocal Encounter is a project of the Diocesan Music Committee’s Professional Concerns SubCommittee and is open to singers 16 and older. The cost is $100 per student.
