Dimitri House, an agency that provides services to the city’s poor and homeless, needs volunteers to help staff its emergency shelter for overnight guests seven nights a week through April.
The agency, located at 102 N. Union St. in Rochester, also provides groceries and health-advocacy services to needy Rochester residents.
It needs volunteers for its emergency food cupboard from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday to Friday.
It also is looking for volunteers for its drop-in program from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and also is looking for volunteers to answer the phones from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.
