Volunteers sought to aid terminally ill

Two Southern Tier facilities providing care for the terminally ill are requesting volunteers.

Southern Tier Hospice and Palliative Care, located in Corning, has begun a knitting and crocheting group. Prayer shawls and lap blankets are made by volunteers and then given to patients. Anybody interested in joining the group (experienced or novice) should contact Nancy Simpson, volunteer coordinator, at 607/962-4100, ext. 33, or nsimpson@sthospice.org.
