The Rochester Voters Alliance, a nonprofit, nonpartisan coalition of faith and community organizations, has launched its voter-registration efforts.
The organization will focus on registering voters in neighborhoods and ZIP codes where voter registration and turnout are below average. During its 2004 registration efforts, RVA and its member organizations registered more than 3,400 voters.
Volunteers will register voters throughout the summer and fall at such Rochester locations as the public market, grocery stores, apartment complexes, community health centers, homeless shelters and human-services agencies.
Additional volunteers are always welcomed. To assist, contact Paul Brayer at 585-271-3479.Tags: Election News
