Voting has started on three videos entered in the YouParable.org contest sponsored by the Diocese of Rochester. The video contest, which was aimed at modernizing Gospel parables, is part of the diocesan spiritual renewal.
The three videos are:
* “The Call,” which is based on the parable of the friend at midnight (Luke 11:5-8).
* “The Unforgiving Daughter,” which is based on the parable of the unmerciful servant (Matthew 18:23-35).
* “The Lost Sheep,” which is based on the parable of the lost sheep (Luke 15:1-7).
The three videos may be viewed at www.youparable.org until May 25, and voting ends June 5. The creators of the video that receives the most votes will receive $250, and a $250 donation will made to a Catholic charity they designate.
To vote, go to the Web site and print out and mark a voter card. The cards may then be mailed to YouParable.org, care of Diocese of Rochester, 1150 Buffalo Road, Rochester, NY 14624. For details, e-mail YouParable@dor.org.
