St. Francis and St. Clare will host two free showings of the 2018 movie “Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer” at the parish center on March 27.

The film chronicles the investigation and trial of Dr. Kermit Gosnell, who for many years ran an abortion clinic in Philadelphia. In 2013 he was convicted of murder for the deaths of one adult patient as well as three babies who had been born alive. Media accounted dubbed his clinic a “house of horrors” because in it investigators found bags of aborted fetuses and fetal body parts in refrigerators.

The movie, which is rated PG-13 and runs for 93 minute, will be shown at 1 p.m. and again at 6:30 p.m. at St. Francis and St. Clare’s parish center, located at 35 Center St. in Waterloo. Viewers are invited to stay for discussions after the showings, and parking is available in the lot behind St. Mary Church.
