The annual White Mass is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 4, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 296 Flower City Park, Rochester. All doctors, nurses, chaplains and other health-care professionals are invited to attend the Mass, which will be celebrated by Bishop Salvatore R. Matano.
Oct. 4 also is Respect Life Sunday, which marks the start of this year’s U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Respect Life Program. This year’s theme is "Every Life is Worth Living."
The White Mass is sponsored by the Finger Lakes Guild of the Catholic Medical Association and the Diocese of Rochester. A reception will follow the Mass.
