Why take that risk?

To the editor:

Some justify abortion by saying a fetus is not a human and thus, abortion is not murder. A fetus grows, moves, feeds and matures daily; it is a life, a human life that began at conception.

In life, we take many precautions. We have insurance to protect lives, material objects and as security for loved ones. Adults wear safety glasses and shoes. We wear helmets and seat belts. We baby-proof rooms, place children in back seats and secure children in carts and strollers. In many ways, we do not take risks as we try to protect and prevent injuries and death.

Let’s eliminate abortion to protect and to prevent the death of innocent babies in the womb and the guilt that goes with it. This will prevent us having to answer to God as to why we aborted a child. Why risk murder?
