Women’s Commission events will explore forgiveness

The diocesan Women’s Commission is sponsoring two gatherings on the subject of forgiveness: an evening with Bishop Matthew H. Clark on Sept. 29 at Sacred Heart Cathedral, and a day of reflection on Oct. 25 at Nazareth College.

The Sept. 29 event will feature Bishop Clark sharing his thoughts on forgiveness, as well as an opportunity for shared reflection. There is no cost, and dessert will be served. The program is set to begin at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart, 296 Flower City Park.

On Oct. 25, "Forgiveness: Journey to Joy" will be the theme of a program running from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The keynoter will be ValLimar Jansen, an internationally known gospel singer and speaker. Reflection groups will address the personal challenges of forgiving. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. The cost is $35 per person ($40 after Oct. 1) and $15 for full-time students. Register at www.stbernards.edu. For more information, call 585-442-9816. The event is cosponsored by Nazareth College.
