The diocesan Women’s Commission, which is an advisory board to Bishop Matthew H. Clark, is seeking nominations for new members.
Bishop Clark will appoint the new members to three-year terms that begin in January 2010. The group’s mission is to lead, educate, and voice issues in church and society that affect women and girls. Upcoming commission programs will provide spiritual- and educational-growth opportunities for all women in the diocese, create strategies to meet the needs of young-adult women and explore ways to encourage the continued presence of women’s voices in the church.
Interested women and men are asked to complete nomination forms online at www.dor.org (search “women’s commission”). For questions, call Mary Kate Driscoll at 585-442-9816. Nominations must be received by Nov. 1.
