To the editor:
Struggling to find the word that might best attempt to describe Father Robert F. McNamara, Rochester’s tireless dean of church historians, who gracefully achieved his 96th birthday on Nov. 3, I found myself reduced to bland terms such as incalculable, incomparable, indescribable, indestructible, indefatigable, indefectible, indisputable, inextinguishable, inextirpable, irrefutable, indomitable and inconceivable ‚Äì but, exhausted, I had to cop out with ineffable.
May God give him many more years to challenge the rest of us.
