Young adults invited to do some cooking inspired by the saints

Young adults are invited to gather in faith, cook together and hear bite-sized stories of the saints in a new monthly virtual series sponsored by the Diocese of Rochester’s Office of Evangelization and Catechesis.

Theology on Tapas for Young Adults begins Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. with a recipe for rose petal cookies inspired by St. Padre Pio. The evening will be led by Mark Capellazzi, project coordinator for youth and young-adult ministry, who has a bachelor’s degree in culinary arts.

Other evenings will be take place Oct. 21, Nov. 4 and Dec. 9.

Interested participants are asked to register in advance so they can receive the recipe to cook along with, as well as the access information for Zoom. Young adults do not have to cook along to participate and are welcome to join in to learn about the saints and to connect with other young adults.

For more information, contact Capellazzi at mark.capellazzi@dor.org.
