The youth group at All Saints Parish in Corning is organizing the third-annual R.O.C.K. (Reach Out in Christian Kindness) community-service retreat, to be conducted this summer. The youth group would like to hear from folks who need assistance with house repairs and chores, or might simply like some company for a day.
Work is free of charge. Anyone interested in obtaining these services, or who knows of a person who could benefit from this ministry, should contact Marie McCaig, All Saints’ youth minister, at 607/936-8341.
Past R.O.C.K. retreats have seen approximately 75 teens doing a week’s worth of scrubbing, cleaning, mowing, organizing, clearing, scraping, painting, building and visiting at homes in the community.
