One World Market is hosting their annual fair trade rug sale at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Ithaca Aug. 24-27. All are welcome to come see the beautiful rugs. Each rug represents hundreds of hours of work and hundreds of years of tradition. One World Market partners each year with Bunyaad, a fair -trade organization that works directly with 850 rugmaking families in Pakistan. The program does not work with rug makers who employ school-age children. These beautiful hand-knotted, heirloom rugs will last a lifetime while supporting many lives. There are tribal, Bokhara, and Persian rugs in every color to fit every room.
