Blood Drive in Memory of Don Pierce

Cheshire Volunteer Fire Department
4285 Route 21 South
Cananadaigua, New York

Saturday, January 13, 2018

9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

The third annual blood drive in memory of Don Pierce will be held at the Cheshire Volunteer Fire Department, where Don was a lifetime member.  He passed away in 2015.  He received blood transfusions during his battle with cancer. This blood drive comes as the Red Cross faces a winter blood shortage. Winter storms this month have forced many blood drives to cancel causing thousands of blood and platelet donations to go uncollected. Blood donations are urgently needed now so patients can continue to receive the lifesaving treatments they need. Right now, blood products are being distributed to hospitals as fast as they are coming in. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are encouraged. To make an appointment to donate, visit or call 1-800-REDCROSS.
