Bishop Matthew H. Clark served as grand marshal during the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade held in downtown Rochester March 17. Bishop Clark sat atop a classic convertible as he made his way down East Avenue and Main Street, waving to and talking with parade-goers as he went. Thousands attended the annual parade, which celebrated its 35th year, and lined the streets to cheer on military members, police officers and firefighters, along with drum corps, marching bands, bagpipers, Irish dancers and countless other local groups. The theme of this year's parade was "The Shamrock/The Trinity: Celebrating the teachings of the patron saint of Ireland."
