Catholic-school students from across the diocese celebrated the start of summer with a variety of activities.

St. Rita School in Webster held its annual Blue-Gold Day June 21 during which teams of students, alumni and parents faced off in outdoor games and events. The day’s highlight was a tug-of-war contest in front of the school.

Also on June 21, students from St. Agnes School in Avon and their families traveled to Irondequoit to spend the day going on rides and cooling off at Seabreeze Amusement Park.

And for children from St. Francis and St. Clare Parish in Waterloo and Our Lady of Peace Parish in Geneva, the week of July 17 marked the start of vacation Bible school, which was held at the Waterloo parish. With a theme of “Mighty Fortress Medieval,” students took part in numerous medieval activities and lessons.
