Families came together at Ellison Park Feb. 14 for an interfaith event to create awareness and bring attention to the plight of Rochester’s poor. Participants in "Out In The Cold: Facing the Facts About Rochester's Poor” donated food, coats and books for those in need and spent the day outside, where kids were able to meet local sports mascots and build snowmen. The event was sponsored by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rochester, the Jewish Community Federation, the Greater Rochester Community of Churches and the Episcopal Diocese of Rochester.
