Members of three groups -- Veterans For Peace, Iraq Veterans Against the War and Military Families Speak Out -- joined community members outside St. Joseph's House of Hospitality in Rochester Nov. 11 to mark Veterans Day by calling for an end to the wars currently being waged by the United States. Local veterans prayed, read the names of military personnel from New York state who have been killed in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and unveiled an electronic sign that displays the human and financial costs of war.
