Extraordinary Time
Extraordinary Time is the Catholic Courier‘s seasonal podcast for the church’s liturgical seasons. Episodes feature the insights of priests, deacons, women religious and others from around the Diocese of Rochester. The third season, Lent 2026, will launch in early February 2026.
The first season of the podcast — Lent 2025 — accompanied listeners through Lent with weekly Scriptural reflections plus highlights of the Chrism Mass and Easter services. The second season, Advent 2025, featured four episodes released on the four Sundays of Advent, along with a special episode on Christmas.

Jubilee 2025: Pilgrims of Hope
In conjunction with the church’s universal jubilee year, the Catholic Courier is launching a special podcast called Jubilee 2025: Pilgrims of Hope. In this podcast, the Catholic Courier will highlight the faith of various members of the Diocese of Rochester who represent groups of the faithful receiving special recognition throughout the Jubilee Year.
The first episode of Jubilee 2025: Pilgrims of Hope launched in early February, with monthly episodes planned through December.

In the final episode of Jubilee 2025: Pilgrims of Hope podcast, Erin sat down with the Courier’s Gina Capellazzi to describe her experiences on her first pilgrimage.

Through the Lens of Faith
In conjunction with its 135th-anniversary photojournalism exhibit, “Through the Lens of Faith” in October 2024, the Catholic Courier produced a limited-series podcast featuring the photographers and stories behind the images that were displayed.
The five episode series ran from Sept. to Oct. 2024.

This October, the Catholic Courier, which is the Catholic newspaper for the 12-county diocese of Rochester, NY, will mark its 135th anniversary of its founding. To celebrate this milestone, the Rochester Catholic Press Association, which publishes the Catholic Courier, will host an art-gallery style exhibition offering a retrospective of historic and artistic photojournalism from the archives of the Catholic Courier and predecessor titles. To coincide with this exhibition, the Catholic Courier will bring you a special limited series podcast with past and present Catholic Courier photographers.
In the fifth and final episode of Through the Lens of Faith podcast, former Courier staff photographers Bonnie Trafelet, Linda Dow Hayes, and Tamara Long Garcia talk about the unique approach women bring to the art of telling stories through photography.
