Send A Story / Photo(s)

It’s your chance to be a reporter!

Help spread the word about the many parish, school and organizational activities the Courier’s small staff isn’t able to cover.

To get started, just click the “Submit a story” button on this special website created for submissions. In the “Summary” box at the top of the form, please list your name and phone number, the name of the event, the date and the name of the sponsoring organization.

The “Story” box is where you will type or paste in the facts of the story, but first please provide your email address as the first line of text in the Story box. The system will not accept your submission without a valid email address at the top of this box.

Then just tell us what happened. Don’t stress about the writing; our staff will happily polish up your article if needed — and even give you a byline!

Photos complete the story

You also can attach photographs, flyers or other information using the “Attach files” button. Please make sure you do not submit images that are owned/copyrighted by another individual or organization. We also ask that you submit images in the largest file size you have available.

When you’re done, just click the “Submit for Review” button to send the story and/or photos to our staff.

Most contributions will appear within a couple of business days in the Regional Life sections of this site. Unfortunately, however, we rarely have enough space to include online submissions in a print edition of the Catholic Courier.

We generally will not assign a reporter or photographer to follow up on information submitted through this form. If you prefer to request staff coverage of your story, please contact us at least two weeks in advance.

You may also wish to submit event listings to our online calendar using the online form, or send them by email or postal mail (Calendar, Catholic Courier, PO Box 24379, Rochester, NY 14624-0379).

We look forward to receiving your news!

Choose from news (Monday), leisure (Thursday) or worship (Saturday) — or get all three!
