A life of honor, courage and faith

    Kevin Rivoli | Catholic Courier
    Published 07.15.2016

Dominic Zieno, 96, fought in the South Pacific during World War II and witnessed the devastation in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Dominic Zieno, 96, fought in the South Pacific during World War II and witnessed the devastation in Hiroshima and Nagasaki just days after the U.S. dropped atomic bombs on those cities. After the war, he married, had two daughters and operated Dominico's Clothiers in Lyons until he retired in 1982. Zieno, a man with a kind and gentle disposition and a strong faith in God, regularly attends Mass at St. Michael Church in Lyons three days a week.
