Christmas
Christmas celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ and is second only to Easter in importance within the Church’s liturgical year. This collection includes news, features, and reflections on Christmas liturgies, parish celebrations, and seasonal traditions across the Diocese of Rochester.
The Christmas season begins with the Vigil Masses on Christmas Eve and continues through the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord. It follows Advent, the season in which the Church prepares for the celebration of Christ’s birth.
